National Instructors

David Cohn
David has more than 20 years of hands-on experience with AutoCAD as a user, developer, author and consultant. He is an applications engineer with The PPI Group, a contributing editor to Desktop Engineering magazine, the former publisher and editor-in-chief of CADCAMNet and Engineering Automation Report, the former senior editor of CADalyst magazine, and the author of more than a dozen books on AutoCAD. A licensed architect, David was also one of the earliest AutoCAD third-party software developers, creating numerous AutoCAD add-on programs. As an industry consultant, David has worked with many companies including Autodesk. He teaches college-level AutoCAD courses and is always a popular presenter at Autodesk University.

Robert Green
Robert is a nationally known author, teacher and consultant with 22 years of CAD experience in a variety of applications. You’ve likely read his work in Cadalyst magazine, PE Magazine, The CAD Manager's Newsletter or his new book Expert CAD Management: The Complete Guide. As a consultant, public speaker and 13-year veteran of Autodesk University, Robert has taught thousands of students in CAD management, programming and CAD application usage since 1990. When Robert isn’t writing or teaching, he heads The Robert Green Consulting Group, which provides consulting and programming services for clients throughout the U.S. and Canada. Robert holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and resides in the greater Atlanta area. |

Matt Murphy
Matt has been recognized by Autodesk as a leader in providing professional training since 1985. He has served as an advisor and consultant to the training industry as Chair of the Autodesk Training Center Advisory Board (ATCAB) and Executive Committee (ATCEC). Matt is also an Autodesk Approved Instructor (AAI) and a Certified Technical Trainer (CTT). He has received numerous instructional awards, including the ATC Eastern Regional Instructor of the year for 2004. A widely acclaimed top trainer and featured columnist for Cadalyst and AUGIWorld magazines, he has presented at Autodesk University for 15 years and was the top Autodesk University Speaker for both tutorial and large lecture sessions for 2007.

Regional Instructors
Ron has over 10 years experience in civil CAD construction-document production for commercial, military and airport projects. He provides technical expertise and training, including software installations and product customization, in the support of AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD Land Desktop, Civil Design and Survey, and AutoCAD Map 3D software products. He is also an Autodesk Certified Instructor and a Certified Technical Trainer. Additionally, Ron is an Implementation Certified Expert in both Civil 3D and AutoCAD Map 3D.
Isaac Harper
Isaac is an application engineer at CADsoft Consulting, Inc., supporting Autodesk’s AutoCAD and architectural products. He has been an Autodesk Certified Instructor and a Certified Technical Trainer for over 15 years at several colleges, receiving numerous awards for his instruction abilities. Isaac has been using Autodesk products for over 20 years. He is also a certified drafter by ADDA (American Design Drafting Association), and has worked for large corporations such as Warner Brothers and Columbia Pictures in the movie industry, and Battaglia and Associates in the theme park industry. Isaac also has work as an independent contract designer/drafter in space planning, T.I.’s, new residential and light commercial. Isaac has worked for CADsoft Consulting for over two years.
David Metcalf
David Metcalf is a registered architect and has been using Autodesk’s AutoCAD products since 1985 as a architecture student at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Since graduating, he has worked with many Autodesk products in firms ranging from two-person to 250-person Architecture/Engineering firms and in the Facilities Management department at a government entity. He has been promoting the use of Building Information Modeling since 1998. Transitioning to Autodesk Revit platform, he continues to promote the advantages of BIM as a premier solution for AE firms. David’s tool of choice for Design and CD’s in his practice is Revit.
Chris Perry
Chris, a BIM Application Engineer for CADsoft Consulting, Inc., is an Autodesk Certified Instructor and Certified Technical Trainer, as well as an Implementation Certified Expert for Autodesk’s Building Information Modeling products. Chris has been using Autodesk software products for 20 years in the architectural, civil engineering, structural, mechanical and visualization markets. He holds a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering technology, and has practiced at all levels, from design engineer through project manager. Chris has been with CADsoft for nearly four years.
Patrick Villella
Patrick Villella is an application engineer with over nine year’ experience as a consultant with CADsoft. Prior to using Civil 3D, Patrick used and instructed on Land Desktop. Patrick is also knowledgeable with Media and Entertainment products such as 3ds Max and Combustion. Patrick attended ASU and University of Phoenix and receives continual specialized training from Autodesk. He is a regular speaker at ASU for the Master of Real Estate Development program and the Del E. Webb School of Construction. In 2007, Autodesk granted Patrick the title of “Level 5” in the area of Collaboration, an honor given to only 30 out of nearly 3,000 application engineers. Patrick is also an Autodesk Certified Trainer.
Rick Renda
Rick is an applications engineer for KETIV Technologies, with more than 35 years of industry experience in 2D and 3D design. He has used numerous manufacturing software packages including Autodesk, SolidWorks and Solid Edge. Rick has previous experience working for a number of companies including Westinghouse Electric and United States Steel in Pennsylvania. He also has experience in large machinery design, electrical and gas controls, and plant design. Rick specializes in Autodesk Inventor, providing technical support and training for KETIV’s Arizona office.
Dave Woulf
Dave is an applications engineer for KETIV Technologies, specializing in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Electrical and P&ID. With more than 20 years of technical experience, he also has a wide range of experience in capital equipment manufacturing for the semiconductor, solar and biomedical industries. He has extensive technical knowledge of PLC controls and HMI interface systems, robotics, electronics, mechanical repairs equipment installations and modifications. His service expertise includes repair of various chemical, waste management, and fire systems, facilities piping, air handling, exhaust ducting, electrical distribution and process equipment. Dave has Autodesk certifications in Autodesk Inventor and P&ID, an Electrical license for the state of Oregon, technical certifications in Welding and Machine Shop, High Purity Orbital Welding, High Purity Plastic Fusion and Hot Air Welding. Dave provides training and technical support to KETIV’s customers in Arizona, California, and Nevada.
