National Instructors

  Robert Green
Robert is a nationally known author, teacher and consultant with 22 years of CAD experience in a variety of applications. You’ve likely read his work in Cadalyst magazine, PE Magazine, The CAD Manager's Newsletter or his new book Expert CAD Management: The Complete Guide. As a consultant, public speaker and 13-year veteran of Autodesk University, Robert has taught thousands of students in CAD management, programming and CAD application usage since 1990. When Robert isn’t writing or teaching, he heads The Robert Green Consulting Group, which provides consulting and programming services for clients throughout the U.S. and Canada. Robert holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and resides in the greater Atlanta area.
   

Matt Murphy
Matt has been recognized by Autodesk as a leader in providing professional training since 1985. He has served as an advisor and consultant to the training industry as Chair of the Autodesk Training Center Advisory Board (ATCAB) and Executive Committee (ATCEC). Matt is also an Autodesk Approved Instructor (AAI) and a Certified Technical Trainer (CTT). He has received numerous instructional awards, including the ATC Eastern Regional Instructor of the year for 2004. A widely acclaimed top trainer and featured columnist for Cadalyst and AUGIWorld magazines, he has presented at Autodesk University for 15 years and was the top Autodesk University Speaker for both tutorial and large lecture sessions for 2007.

   
 

Dan Abbott
Dan is the author of AutoCAD: Secrets Every User Should Know (Sybex Press) and two vBooks on AutoCAD 2009 (Retrieve Technologies). He is a professor in the Architectural and Engineering Design department at Southern Maine Community College; he also trains industry professionals in AutoCAD use and management, AutoLISP and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GDT). In his 11 years of presenting at Autodesk University he has received three Top Speaker awards.

Regional Instructors

Keith Bradford

With over ten years of industry experience, Keith brings his knowledge of software and processes to everything he does. He assists clients through training, standards development, document management setup and installation.

 

Chad Studer

Based near Detroit, Chad provides customized consulting, training, support and implementation services for Avatech in AutoCAD Civil 3D and all Autodesk Civil solutions. He is also a certified instructor for Leica Geosystems and is a leader in High-Definition Laser Scanning. By incorporating nine years of industrial experience and an understanding of vertical solutions as an Autodesk partner, Chad has become well-known in the infrastructure industry. During his eight years with Avatech, Chad has conducted countless classes and presentations. This will be his third year as a speaker at AUGI CAD Camp.

 

Adam Peter

With over 12 years of CAD experience and three years as a certified instructor, Adam has trained all levels of users to be proficient in Civil 3D. As an applications engineer, he utilized Civil 3D to go from field survey to plan production, including survey networks, topo creation, road and site design, and storm and sewer design. Adam is an Implementation Certified Expert and has been involved in assisting companies to install, set up and run Autodesk software to its full capacity. In 2006 Adam led a CAD Camp seminar on Civil 3D’s cul-de-sacs and intersections.

 

Erik Kurek

Erik’s strength is his ability to quickly assess a problem and provide a solution that offers refinement and automation opportunities. His “jack of all trades” experience allows him to provide clients with solutions to keep them working while the rest of the team can focus on a more automated approach. His style of training helps users relate to the software on a real-world basis so that they can become efficient and comfortable with the software that they use.

 

Jason Lane

Jason leads Avatech’s team of service professionals in the manufacturing industry. Jason’s team of mechanical engineers and consultants provide implementation solutions specifically developed to mesh well with their engineering processes. Jason and his team also provide valuable CAD software technology integration and adaptation as well as custom-designed educational solutions. Specializing in the manufacturing 3D design process and data management, Jason works with many clients, large and small, to maximize their software investment by optimizing CAD applications to work in the most efficient manner.
