National Instructors

  Robert Green
Robert is a nationally known author, teacher and consultant with 22 years of CAD experience in a variety of applications. You’ve likely read his work in Cadalyst magazine, PE Magazine, The CAD Manager's Newsletter or his new book Expert CAD Management: The Complete Guide. As a consultant, public speaker and 13-year veteran of Autodesk University, Robert has taught thousands of students in CAD management, programming and CAD application usage since 1990. When Robert isn’t writing or teaching, he heads The Robert Green Consulting Group, which provides consulting and programming services for clients throughout the U.S. and Canada. Robert holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and resides in the greater Atlanta area.
   
  David Cohn
David has more than 20 years of hands-on experience with AutoCAD as a user, developer, author and consultant. He is an applications engineer with The PPI Group, a contributing editor to Desktop Engineering magazine, the former publisher and editor-in-chief of CADCAMNet and Engineering Automation Report, the former senior editor of CADalyst magazine, and the author of more than a dozen books on AutoCAD. A licensed architect, David was also one of the earliest AutoCAD third-party software developers, creating numerous AutoCAD add-on programs. As an industry consultant, David has worked with many companies including Autodesk. He teaches college-level AutoCAD courses and is always a popular presenter at Autodesk University.
   
 
Mark Mates
Mark is a certified AEC applications engineer supporting Autodesk products, as well as a senior instructor for ProSoft. He specializes in providing consulting services and technical writing. His most recent title is the 900-page Revit Architecture 2008 Fundamentals training manual published by ProSoft. Mark served in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years, and then became a CAD manager for a large AE firm supporting architects and structural engineers. Mark has more than 21 years of CAD/BIM experience and is proficient in Revit Architecture, Revit Structure, Revit MEP, AutoCAD and MicroStation. He is also a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer.

 

   
   

Matt Murphy
Matt has been recognized by Autodesk as a leader in providing professional training since 1985. He has served as an advisor and consultant to the training industry as Chair of the Autodesk Training Center Advisory Board (ATCAB) and Executive Committee (ATCEC). Matt is also an Autodesk Approved Instructor (AAI) and a Certified Technical Trainer (CTT). He has received numerous instructional awards, including the ATC Eastern Regional Instructor of the year for 2004. A widely acclaimed top trainer and featured columnist for Cadalyst and AUGIWorld magazines, he has presented at Autodesk University for 15 years and was the top Autodesk University Speaker for both tutorial and large lecture sessions for 2007.

   

Regional Instructors

David King
David has been a long time Autodesk user and has several years of real world experience in the land development industry working in a variety of engineering aspects.  David is a certified AutoCAD Civil 3D instructor and has been involved in a wide range of technical training events as well as having involvement in the implementation process with a number of design and engineering firms throughout the US.
 

Keith Bradford
With over ten years of industry experience, Keith brings his knowledge of software and processes to everything he does. He assists clients through training, standards development, document management setup and installation.

Chad Studer
Based near Detroit, Chad provides customized consulting, training, support and implementation services for Avatech in AutoCAD Civil 3D and all Autodesk Civil solutions. He is also a certified instructor for Leica Geosystems and is a leader in High-Definition Laser Scanning. By incorporating nine years of industrial experience and an understanding of vertical solutions as an Autodesk partner, Chad has become well-known in the infrastructure industry. During his eight years with Avatech, Chad has conducted countless classes and presentations. This will be his third year as a speaker at AUGI CAD Camp.

Jessica Palmer
Jessica has an extensive background in civil engineering design. Her experience includes twelve years of Autodesk product use and encompasses all phases of residential subdivisions, commercial sites, and roadway design. In Jessica’s work experience she has been integral in the development and implementation of CAD Standards, Land Desktop processes, and customization.   Jessica is an Autodesk Implementation Certified Expert for Civil 3D as well as an Autodesk certified instructor.

Erik Kurek
Erik’s strength is his ability to quickly assess a problem and provide a solution that offers refinement and automation opportunities. His “jack of all trades” experience allows him to provide clients with solutions to keep them working while the rest of the team can focus on a more automated approach. His style of training helps users relate to the software on a real-world basis so that they can become efficient and comfortable with the software that they use.

Jason Lane
Jason leads Avatech’s team of service professionals in the manufacturing industry. Jason’s team of mechanical engineers and consultants provide implementation solutions specifically developed to mesh well with their engineering processes. Jason and his team also provide valuable CAD software technology integration and adaptation as well as custom-designed educational solutions. Specializing in the manufacturing 3D design process and data management, Jason works with many clients, large and small, to maximize their software investment by optimizing CAD applications to work in the most efficient manner.

Jon Lillian
With over ten years architectural design experience, developing buildings ranging from custom homes, multi-family and student housing to schools, hospitals and commercial, Jon has developed and implemented office wide CAD standards for a multi-disciplined office. He has also developed photorealistic visualization images for client approval.  He enjoys training CAD applications to help individuals in architecture become valuable assets in the industry. 

Marian Estabrook
With over 27 years in design and construction, Marian has been a successful Project Manager overseeing the engineering, design, logistics, and execution of extensive Naval Surface Combatant modernization overhauls; design deliverables for a multi-million dollar IT engineering firm; installation of refrigeration, Hydronic heating, fire protection and domestic water systems. She brings her extensive background to each project and training class she does, helping clients make the most of their technology investment.
